Planting Seeds of Hope (PSOH) is a federally registered nonprofit organization delivering innovative land-based programs to children, families, schools, and community groups.
Children’s Lands is a global initiative encouraging adults to donate land to children and support them in collectively creating a microcosm of the world they want to live in.
Since 2009, Planting Seeds of Hope (PSOH) has been leading the implementation of Children’s Lands programming in Canada.
Healthy Soil Sundays (HSS) offers families a chance to strengthen their connections with one another and the natural world through fun, hands-on activities. Participants can explore topics such as soil, composting, planting, pollinators, wild edibles, seed saving, and more—all in a child-friendly setting. Our 2024 programs wrapped up at the end of October, and we look forward to returning in March 2025.
Would you like to volunteer at Planting Seeds of Hope? We’re always looking for kind-hearted individuals to help support the incredible initiatives the children are working on. While the primary focus will be on the gardens, we’re excited to find ways for everyone to contribute their unique talents and passions.

This 5-module training course is designed for educators and community leaders who wish to integrate the Children’s Lands methodology into their homes, schools, or communities. This global initiative fosters meaningful connections between children and nature and is recognized by UNESCO as a model for education for sustainable development.
